UNBREAKABLE (SINGLE) ENGINE MOUNT REDUCED HEIGHT TO SUIT COMMODORE VE & VF V8 LS ENGINES

Reduced height mount for Commodore VE & VF V8 LS engines.

The engine mounts is made from 5.0mm laser cut steel plate, components are laser cut and precision folded for increased strength and accuracy. They are all jigged for welding and finished in gloss black enamel paint. The same bushes are used for all mounts, a 50.0mm diameter cylindrical rubber bush and a 13.0mm thru bolt. Included in the design is a long lasting cylindrical bush that is always under compression no matter the direction of the load being applied.

  • Suitable for track cars or vehicles with tight clearance engine bays or big diameter exhaust systems.
  • The large diameter bush absorbs the engine vibration, but increases the resistance the more the engine moves, reducing the movement to about 5mm.
  • Reduced height mounts for Commodore VE & VF V8 LS engines.
  • Specially designed for supercharger applications where extra hood clearance is required.
  • Positions engine approximately 10.0mm lower on Commodores and up to 20.0mm lower on HSV vehicles.

Please Note:A pair is needed so that the motor sits evenly on the k-frame and mounting components aren't exposed to unnecessary residual stresses given the height difference between the stock and unbreakable mount.

If you want to purchase a pair, you can find it here in our store.

GM, Chrysler get cold shoulder from consumers, report says

Fri, 20 Mar 2009

General Motors and Chrysler clearly have an image problem. In a classic case of: "It's not me--it's you," fewer consumers are considering the two Detroit automakers in the wake of their pleas for government assistance and bankruptcy rumors. The share of buyers who would make a GM car their primary choice fell 12 percent, and the share of Chrysler intenders dropped by one third, according to a study released Thursday by CNW Research of Bandon, Ore.

‘Hidden’ damage on hire cars costing drivers

Tue, 24 Sep 2013

MORE THAN one in three hire car users have found unreported damage on hired vehicles upon collection, according to new data. A survey conducted by YouGov found that 37% of business travellers found damage to their hired vehicle which was not marked down on the documentation when they collected the car. This could lead to the user being charged for the damage and liable to lose any insurance excess amount – which could be as much as £2,000.
